Songhua River Mammoth

Mammuthus sungari, sometimes called the Songhua River Mammoth, evolved from smaller Siberian mammoths and occurred in Northern China during the middle Pleistocene (about 280,000 years ago). It survived until the beginning of the Late Pleistocene.
