{This page is under construction.}. Giganotosaurus
(Meaning 'giant southern lizard') is a genus of carcharodontosaurid dinosaur that lived during the early Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous Period. It is one of the largest known terrestrial carnivores, as large Tyrannosaurus rex* (Because some partial specimens such as "C. rex" can reach 14.65-14.98m long), but smaller than Spinosaurus. Its fossils have been found in Argentina.[1][2][3]
  • Note this is in length, not weight, T. rex was signifigantly heavier, aldo Spinosaurus hasn't been tested for yet.[4]

It measures around 12.25-14.95m long and weights 5.29 tons (Lighter than T. rex).[5]

Some new studies suggest that this giant may have ran with a top speed 0f 30-31mi(50kmp), notebly faster then T. rex. {Needs citation.}
