Cephalaspis ("Head Shield") was a genus of armored goldfish-sized to trout-sized detritivorous fish that lived in freshwater streams and estuaries of early Devonian Western Europe. It is a member of the Osteostraci, one of many groups of Paleozoic armoured jawless fish.
